1/13 - Flock received the revised CAD plans (with the revisions requested
by Soratha (CalTrans) - Once they go through quality check, we can
resubmit
We are still waiting to see if Soratha with CalTrans has other
comments for us before resubmitting since he stated that “other
reviewunitswere still reviewing”
1/14 - Soratha replied - Permit is still being reviewed by other CalTrans
review units, but requested revised plans. Flock sent unstamped revised
plantoSoratha.
1/17 - Soratha sent additional redlines for the EPE letter. No issues with
the plans. Flock requested those revisions internally
1/21 - Flock revised the EPE memo as requested and received finalized
stampedplans
The revised EPE memo and stamped finalized plans were resubmitted to
Soratha Sing (CalTrans) today, 1/21.
We will continue to check in until we have confirmed next steps from
CalTrans, or hopefully, the issued permit.

It looks like we only have one
outstanding camera
to get permitted and installed
for you.
Unfortunatelywewereunable toget
thoserequestedas-builtsforthispole,
however,aFlockTechnicianwentout
andtooktheneededmeasurementsof
the pole.
Thosemeasurementsandimages
have been sent to our permitting
vendor tocomplete theCalTrans
required structural analysis for this
location.
This should take ~1-2 weeks to
complete,thenwecangetthatoverto
CalTrans so that they can continue
their review of this permit request.
I will keep you updated here as this
location progresses but please feel free
to refer to your Google Tracker
(location details) and your Deployment
Tracker (real-time updates) in the
meantime.

that the local agency in this
case the City has to
actuallyfile the CEQA
Exemption with the
California Clearinghouse.
EBI has completed the
CEQANoticeofExemption
(NoE).Pleasesignorhave
Public Works sign it and
send us a copy. There is a
date highlighted in yellow
that needs to be updated
when it is submitted. Let us
know the date in which
they submit to the clearing
house. Then we can
resubmit to CalTrans with
the signed NOE.

and submit the CEQA
exemption onBenicia’s
behalf.EBlsaid itwould
take about 2-3 weeks to
prepare the exemption
application. Once it is
prepared, they then have
to post the CEQA
exemption application to
the California State
Clearinghouse for 30
days to allow other
agencies to review and
comment if they have any
concerns. Once the 30
days is up, EBI will
produce a CEQA
exemption document that
wewill then resubmit to
CalTrans along with the
policy exception letter
and the revised site
plans. CalTrans will then
review.

is working to
address the
commentsfrom
CalTrans,
including the
NEPA
requirement.
Flock’s permitting
team met with
the consulting
firmEBltoreview
the NEPA
(National
Environmental
Protection
Act) and CEQA
(California
Environmental
Quality
Act)requirements
for the Policy
exception from
CalTrans D4.
CalTrans has
informed us that
the CEQA report
has to be done in
the City’s name.
Wewill need
confirmation from
your City’s public
works that they
would likeEBl to
do the CEQA
report or if the
City would like to
do the report as it
will be in their
name.
Could you please
advise if your
public works will
do the CEQA
report or if we
should ask EBl to
proceed on the
City’s behalf?
