Did you know that State Administering Agencies (SAAs) submitted applications to FEMA in Fall 2025 to secure Homeland Security funding that will now be distributed through competitive grant programs nationwide?

Tracking the release of funds—and understanding your state’s identified priorities—just got a lot easier. When you sign up for Grant Assistance at no cost from the Lexipol GrantFinder Team, your agency is one step closer to acquiring License Plate Readers (LPRs) from Leonardo.

What Can Be Funded? State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) funding can be used for:

     • Intelligence, surveillance, and information-sharing technology

• Equipment for border enforcement, fusion centers, and high-risk event response • Planning, training, and overtime tied to terrorism prevention

License Plate Readers (LPRs) are allowable expenses when they support FY25 National Priority Areas, including:

   • Enhancing the Protection of Soft Targets and Crowded Places (election sites and faith-based locations)
   • Supporting Homeland Security Task Forces and Fusion Centers
   • Enhancing and Integrating Cybersecurity Resiliency
   • Enhancing Election Security
   • Supporting Border Crisis Response and Enforcement
