The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program hasn’t been released… yet. Despite delays in the FY2025 funding announcement, all FY2025 awards are still expected—and there’s potential for additional FY2026 funds to be released between May and July.

That means one thing for agencies: a tighter-than-ever turnaround for applications.

Whether your department qualifies for direct, formula-based JAG funding or applies through your State Administering Agency, preparation now is critical.
