At Flock Safety, we believe that public safety technology only works when it earns the trust of the communities it serves. That’s why we’re continually improving how agencies can use and audit Flock data, building transparency and accountability right into the product.
Starting this week, you’ll see a new step in every Flock LPR Search:
Offense Type Dropdown: Before running a search, users will be required to select an offense type from a NIBRS-based list (expanded through customer feedback and data analysis).
The “Search Reason” field will remain as an optional way to add additional context.
Why It Matters:
• ✅ Greater Transparency: clearer insight into the purpose behind every search.• � Cleaner Audits: consistent, standardized data across your agency and the agencies you share with. • 🔍 Improved Filter Confidence: stronger assurance that searches align with investigative needs and policy.
What’s Ahead: We’re also building offense type reporting and search-usage analytics by agency to provide deeper visibility and support data-driven accountability.
